Collection: Channapatna Craft Collectives

The result is a thoughtfully curated series of designs that reinterpret the 200-year-old Channapatna toy-making tradition into the contemporary home and lifestyle space. This centuries-old craft, known for its vibrant lacquered woodwork and precise hand-turning techniques, has been skillfully transformed into a range of functional and aesthetic pieces — including, kitchen, bar accessories, children’s décor and toys.

Traditionally dominated by male artisans, the Channapatna craft is now witnessing a quiet but powerful shift — with many of these creations delicately shaped and finished by women artisans who are bringing a fresh perspective and finesse to the age-old techniques. By nurturing these practices, we have been able to provide sustainable and consistent livelihoods to artisan communities not only in Channapatna but across several craft clusters throughout India, helping preserve heritage while ensuring dignity and opportunity for its keepers.
